Classes on Sunday and Wednesday - Classes
are typically 45 minutes in length. they are
taught by faithful Christian men and women. The
Bible is the focus of such studies and the class
materials and methods are aimed toward the
respective age groups.
- Lads to
Leaders/Leaderettes - A large group of our
youth, ranging from kindergarten through college
age are involved in this work. It includes an
annual convention in Atlanta, Georgia. For more,
visit the Lads to
Leaders page.
- Annual Youth
Day - This day is scheduled on a Saturday
and area youth are invited to attend. One or
more speakers are invited to come speak on
subjects helpful for young people to hear and
learn. It usually includes several
segments/lessons, lunch served, and ends in the
early afternoon.
- Youth
devotionals - Some families host our youth
to hold a devotional at their homes
throughout
the year. There is also at least one area-wide
youth devotional hosted by the Oxford church
once a year, with area churches bringing their
youth to us. These are times when the young
people have the opportunity to meet other
Christian young people from the area and worship
together in song, prayer, and hearing God's word
preached.
- Group trips
to
area-wide youth devotionals, youth days, gospel meetings and
singings. We will often use the church's van
(seen on right) when traveling together.
- Group trips to
Birmingham Barons baseball games and other
fellowship activities

Summer Bible Camp
Many of our young
people attend Bible camp during Oxford week at
Backwoods Christian Camp, session one of Backwoods
camp. It is a week of Bible study, fellowship and
fun. Young people may bring friends to camp;
they are also bound to make many friends while there
with young people who've come from far and near. If
you'd like to know more about the location of the
camp or other general information, visit its
website:
