Who is
our evangelist?
Bob Prichard has been
the evangelist for the Oxford church of Christ since
December, 2003. He served the Morristown (Tennessee)
church of Christ for fifteen years before moving to
Oxford. Preaching since 1977, he previously served
churches of Christ in North Carolina, Alabama, and
Tennessee. He earned a B. A. in History from the
University of Alabama, a Master of Arts in Religion
from Harding Graduate School of Religion, and a
Master of Theology from Alabama Christian School of
Religion (now Regions University). Special interests
include ancient history, creation and evolution, and
the books of Job and Revelation.
He has served as an
adjunct instructor for the East Tennessee School of
Preaching and Missions (Knoxville, TN), Appalachian
School of Preaching (Pikeville, KY), and Faulkner
University (Montgomery, AL). Courses taught include
Genesis, Pentateuch, Old Testament History, Old
Testament Wisdom Literature, Acts, Macedonian
epistles, and Revelation.
He has published
articles in numerous periodicals, and writes the
“All Things Considered” column in each issue of
House to House/Heart to Heart. He edited
Revelation Through First Century Glasses by W.
B. West, Jr., published by Gospel Advocate in 1997.
He has spoken on numerous lectureships and in gospel
meetings in several states.
Bob and his wife
Sharon have three married children, and five
grand-children. He is a veteran of the U. S. Air
Force, and served four years as a Missile Launch
Officer.
