What is Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes?

Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes is a tool used by churches of Christ to provide an effective year-round, Bible-based youth leadership program for students from Kindergarten through College. The organization serves as a program for the youth and the congregation. It serves as more than a form of activity for children and young adults, it is spiritually edifying and promotes lasting faithfulness in the church to the cause of Christ.

In what areas do the Oxford youth participate?

Currently, about 35 individuals from Kindergarten through College participate with the Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes program. We're thankful for our hard-working group of young people at Oxford. They may take part in one or more categories of involvement, including the following:

  • K-2nd Grade
  • Good Samaritan
  • Centurion of Scripture
  • Art
  • Oral and Advanced Bible Reading (Girls/Boys)
  • Speech (Girls/Boys)
  • Scrapbook (Group)
  • Songs of Praise (Girls/Boys)
  • Banner (Group)
  • Bible Bowl

Our young people also participate in several works aimed toward being "Good Samaritans."

  • Assisting Nursing Home Devotionals
  • Assisting our Golden Age Day
  • Visits and Cards to Nursing Homes
  • Assisting our Ladies' Day Event
  • Crafts and Gift Baskets to Nursing Homes
  • Fellowship Visits to Rainbow Omega
  • Annual Valentine Dinner for our Elderly Members
  • Contributing Food for 16th and Noble Church Benevolence
